Assistant Kitchen Manager Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and direct the kitchen team
• Build respectful relationships with every member of the kitchen team while holding them accountable - we take pride in everything we do
• Manage high standards while paying attention to every detail
• Focus with the team on creating fun, unforgettable guest experiences every time
• Keep operations running smoothly in a very high-volume environment
• Tightly manage portion sizes, recipe adherence, prep list completion, and waste controls

Assistant Kitchen Manager Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of experience in a full-service back-of-house management role in a high-volume, systems-oriented casual or upscale-casual environment
• Solid and proven leadership qualities: friendly, coach mentality, lead by example, and uphold restaurant standards
• Thick skin to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to maintain standards, exceed expectations, and build relationships
• Inventory and Ordering are required - previous experience is necessary
• Strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards is a must
• Proactive problem-solver and hands-on work ethic
