Hours & Pay

• Pay: $16.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, early morning start at 2:00 AM or 4:00 AM, 8-hour shifts
• Employment Type: Temp-to-hire

Daily Tasks

• Prepare and label tissue slides for microscopic examination
• Assist with tissue and slide preparation, quality control, and routine instrument maintenance
• Operate basic laboratory equipment and computer systems
• Follow laboratory safety standards, documentation protocols, and PPE requirements
• Support the setup of new methods or equipment under the direction of senior lab staff
• Maintain an organized, clean, and compliant laboratory workspace

Requirements

• High school diploma required; histology training program preferred
• Minimum one year of histology education and/or laboratory experience preferred, but motivated trainees will be considered
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and documentation
• Comfortable working with chemicals, biological specimens, sharp instruments, and lab tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Team-oriented attitude with reliable attendance
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed

Work Environment

This role involves handling biological materials and working with laboratory equipment and chemicals. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, or hazardous materials may occur; comprehensive safety training and PPE are provided.
