Job Summary

The timely and accurate handling of member transactions.

Responsibilities
Accurately and effectively process and post monetary transactions to members accounts. Sell money orders, traveler's cheques, various promotional and other financial services offered by the Credit Union. Perform the general ledger entries for these transactions. Create member counter checks by utilizing the MicroQuick software. Open and close membership accounts and share accounts as needed. Provide the member with required disclosure according to federal regulations and Credit Union Policy and Procedures and answer questions regarding the same. Perform file maintenance on members accounts by completing or accepting completed change or address/name change cards on a timely basis in accordance with Credit Union Policy and Procedures. Balance cash drawer and daily transactions at the end of each business day. Follow the established Credit Union cash policies. Follow dual control procedures effectively. Prepare new member packets and loan packets. Ensure that all information inside the packets is the most current and correct information. Maintain the Drafts Back Program within the timelines established by Credit Union management. Prepare, maintain, and file payroll deduction cards received from members for upcoming payroll periods by following Credit Union Policies and Procedures. Promote the overall growth of the Credit Union by having a complete and thorough understanding of all Credit Union services and continuously cross sell these services to the membership. Educate members on their member number, various account ID numbers, and KEY 24 usage. Understand how to operate teller line equipment and use printer configurations. Recognize any problems that may occur with equipment and notify appropriate person(s) in a timely manner to minimize disruption in service to members. Effectively manage member traffic within the teller areas by maintaining efficiency.

Education
High School Diploma or GED (Required) Experience: 1 YEAR Recent experience in a financial institution or relevant experience as determined by the CEO of the Credit Union
